The End of the School Year

Well, I’m a bit sick here as I wrap up what has been an amazing semester — and year. Lewis and Clark has been a great place to teach, and I’m proud to call Portland home. For the first time in forever, I feel like I have a supportive, congenial community in which to work.

Teaching has been a constant challenge, but in the best possible ways. I hope that I provided a good learning environment for my students, and that they did some good work for my classes.

I’m going to take a hiatus from posting here on my site. I have a draft of a novel that I’ve got to work on, and that needs all of my attention. Thank you for the emails over the course of the year, and — have a great summer, everyone.

In July — and August — I will probably post photographs from my trip through Eastern Europe.
