If the Egyptian government does fall, it could be because of a 28-year-old employee of Google. Here’s a link to his first post-detention interview, on the excellent blog, Alive in Egypt. It’s getting harder and harder to ignore the implications of the technological parts of this revolution. I’ve always been a skeptic of the rhetoric of the democratization that technology brings — but it’s hard to ignore, when a Google employee starts a revolution through a Facebook page.
